Wellness exists only in the absence of dis-ease.

Wellness is a state of being in good health. Wellness is an active process of becoming aware of and making choices toward a healthy and fulfilling life. Wellness is more than living free from illness, it is a dynamic process of change and growth. The World Health Organization defines wellness as “a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.” The National Wellness Institute defines wellness as “a conscious, self-directed and evolving process of achieving full potential.” It is the lack of good health emotionally, mentally, physically, and chemically AND the lack of ambition to strive that makes any organism susceptible to disease.
